Couples

We value God’s plan in the covenantal nature of marriage, and understand that outside of our intimacy with God, the next priority should be our spouse.

Tap Couples seeks to proactively enhance this all important dynamic between husband and wife with fun events to be in community with others, marriage mentors to facilitate intentional conversations, resource speakers/webinars and marriage conferences that help each couple find their unique path towards oneness.

Quarterly Couples Events

Put together by our Tap Couples ministry team, join us for fun and meaningful events to grow in your Oneness  and support each other on the journey. Check the calendar for our next event.

Monthly Couples Lunch Outings

Join the team for a cheap and cheerful meal at the food court every last Sunday of the month  after 2nd service and meet other couples from our community.

Marriage Mentoring

Our marriage mentoring program is a wonderful way to connect couples who’ve been together a season or two ahead of a mentee pair. It is based on FamilyLife Canada material. Our mentors are not therapists or counselors, they don’t have perfect marriages but have been together long enough to weather the storms of life a bit.

How does it work?

Couples often feel their struggles are unique to them, through a series of 14 focused conversations, marriage mentoring helps normalize those issues and knits couples more closely into church community.

Why be mentors?

1. It's a ministry that couples can do together that is fun and meaningful

2. Tap Couples team and staff provide all the training.

We’d like to be mentored!

1. If you can commit to meeting once a month for 1.5-2 hours, we’ll match you with a mentor couple.

Serve

  • If you’ve been married for at least 7 years and would like to come alongside another couple as marriage mentors, inquire about  the training schedules.

  • We need people who are willing to help with event logistics like set up and tear down. If this is something you are interested in, please let us know.

  • Please be in prayer for all the married couples in church. God wants us to thrive and not just survive! Pray that we remain patient with each other, that we are able to be unselfish and are always willing to give our partners the benefit of the doubt.
